Dune (2021)

Summary

A new adaptation of Frank Herbert’s successful novel published in 1965. This time Denis Villeneuve is in charge of directing the film. Arrakis (also called “Dune”) is the most important planet in the universe as it is home to “spice”, a substance essential for interstellar travel. The year is 10191 and House Atreides is assigned by the Emperor to replace House Harkonnen in the government of Arrakis. Thus begins a colossal power struggle that will eventually lead to an interstellar war.
